Founded by Saori Kawano in 1982, during the time when Japanese Cuisine was making a boom in the Western world, Korin introduced Japanese Kitchenware and Japanese Knives to chefs all over the world, supplying knives and plate ware to restaurants such as Nobu. 

Korin Shiro-ko Kasumi knives are handcrafted from a combination of Shirogami White #3 Carbon Steel and soft iron steel. The knives have a magnolia wood handle with a water buffalo horn bolster. This professional grade line is highly recommended for beginners.
