Collection: Kiritsuke & Bunka (Japanese Multipurpose Knives)

Traditionally, the Kiritsuke knife type was only used by the Head Chef in a Japanese kitchen. Nowadays, it's a popular alternative to the Gyuto (Japanese Chef's Knife).

The Kiritsuke has a slightly flatter blade profile, making it a great tool for long, smooth slices of meat, steaks, and fish. It also usually comes in the same sizes as the Gyuto (Japanese Chef's Knife), which makes it very versatile.

The Bunka Knife is a variation of the Santoku Knife. Like the Gyuto, Santoku, and Kiritsuke; the Bunka Knife is an all-purpose knife.
